Exam Results 2017

These results reflect the hard work of both students and their teachers.

A’ Level

  • Pass rate 98.5%
  • 56.4% A*-B
  • 25 students with all A*-B grades (including 10 with all A*/A grades)

We are proud of the achievements of our students who now go on to the next stage in their education:

  • Of the 72 who are going to university:
    • 26 are going to Russell Group universities
    • 8 are studying Law
    • 1 is going to Oxford
    • 8 courses of study include Mathematics
  • 9 students are taking a Gap Year
  • 2 students are undertaking apprenticeships

 

GCSE

  • Progress 8 figure is +0.55, significantly above expectations
  • Pass rate 99%
  • 100% 5A*-C (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
    • 4 students with all A* grades and a further 9 with all A*/A grades

Exam Results 2016

A’ Level

  • Pass rate 98.3%
  • 55% A*- B
  • 17 students achieved all A* or A grades

There were some excellent individual results and we congratulate our students on their achievements.

Future destinations for our Year 13 students include:

  • 65 going straight to university
  • 8 taking a GAP year
  • 1 going to drama school
  • 1 taking an apprenticeship

GCSE

  • Progress 8 figure is +0.26, significantly above expectations;
  • Pass rate 98.4% (A*-C);
  • 99% of students obtained 5A*-C grades (including English and Mathematics);
  • 64% of grades at A*/A grades;
  • 30 students obtained all A*/A grades (almost a third of the year group).

Exam Results 2015

A’Level

  • Pass rate 100%
  • 77% A*-B
  • 11 students with all A* or A grades

These results were the best in Walsall and we are extremely proud of the achievements of our students.

Our leavers are going on to engage in a range of opportunities, a selection being:

  • 48 going to their first choice university;
  • 16 going to their insurance choice or through clearing;
  • 2 will take up Art Foundation courses;
  • 1 is to undertake an apprenticeship;
  • 6 are taking a GAP year.

This year one student obtained a place at Oxford University to read English Language and Literature.

GCSE

  • Pass rate 95.6% (A*-C);
  • 96% of students obtained 5 A*-C grades (inc. English and Mathematics);
  • 63.9% A*/A grades;
  • 24 students (a quarter of the year group) gained all A*/A grades;
  • 81.1% of students achieved the English Baccalaureate

These results are a significant improvement on those obtained last year and we congratulate our students and staff for all their hard work.

Exam Results 2014

A’Level

  • Pass rate 99.6%
  • 15.4% of grades at A* (our best figure ever)
  • 42.1% of grades at A* or A

And out of 72 students ..

  • 42 went to their first choice university;
  • 11 went to their insurance choice;
  • 18 chose to undertake a gap year or other opportunities;
  • 1 has chosen to do an apprenticeship.

This includes two students who are going to the University of Cambridge, one to read Natural Sciences, the other, English.

GCSE

  • Pass rate 92.3%
  • 92.6% 5A*-C (inc. English and Mathematics)
  • 75% A*-B
