Mid-Year Admissions
Occasionally places become available in years 7, 8, 9 and 10. Parents who wish for their daughter to be considered for such a place should complete this In-Year Registration Form and send it to the admissions office at Queen Mary’s High School, either by post or email to admissions@qmhs.merciantrust.org.uk
In line with our Admission Arrangements in order to ascertain whether the child is of an academic standard commensurate with those already in the school, an entrance test must be taken. Dependent upon the year group, children will either be tested on core subjects (English, Mathematics and Combined Science) or with a CAT4 Test.
Once the registration form has been received, the Head Teacher’s P.A. will make arrangements for the entrance tests to be taken at school, should there be a vacancy available. If there are no vacancies, your child will be added to the waiting list.
We will only test candidates where we have a vacancy in the year group you have applied to.
We hold lists for the following year groups:
- Year 7 - 0 (PAN - 150)
- Year 8 - 0 (PAN - 150)
- Year 9 - 0 (PAN - 150)
- Year 10 - 0 (PAN - 150)
Please note there are currently no vacancies in any of the above year groups. We do not operate a list for Year 11 (PAN - 150). PAN - Published Admissions Number, i.e., we aim to admit 150 students into Year 7.
We are now accepting applications for 2024/2025.
